December

Finally here are some of our pictures from Christmas. Matthew read books with Grandma Proctor for a long time. He read other books besides the Princess one, but this happens to be the one I got a picture of. :)

We had the kids dress up for the nativity scene and reading of Luke 2. Landon decided he would be baby Jesus before anyone really could tell him who to be. He acted the part well and acted like a content baby. Sorry to Katie who actually is a baby, next year I will make sure I tell him he should be a shepherd or wiseman.

On Christmas Eve all the kids got Christmas PJs. Here are Matthew, Cameron, Jadyn, Bridger, Carlie, and Matthew.

We visited the Christmas village after Christmas this year. It was WAY less crowded, but it was still very cold.

The boys have loved playing in the snow. You can always tell if they had a good time if their cheeks are bright red when they come in. Landon might just enjoy the hot chocolate just as much as the playing in the snow.

We also made a gingerbread house (thanks Vanessa). We had fun and as soon as we were done Landon wanted to eat it. I didn't get a good picture, but Landon immediately took a bite out of Santa.

On Christmas Landon told me was "really enjoying the day." When we delivered plates of cookies to a few people he would say "Merry Christmas to all and to all a Goodnight." After Christmas Landon wanted to write a thank you note to Santa. His note said "Dear Santa, Thanks and Your welcome." I guess he is saying your welcome for the cookies, or maybe for being good. We really had a great Christmas, and Landon is already planning for next Christmas.

Ho Ho Ho

We are getting ready for Christmas at our house. We went to Temple Square with our cousins. Here is Landon showing off his warm mittens and Jadyn is smiling in the background. We had a great time, but didn't take very many pictures.

Here is Landon practicing being a reindeer. We got a pomegranate, and Landon thoroughly enjoyed it.
We made Christmas trees with ice cream cones. Landon loved making his and then getting to eat it. Matthew ate frosting until we took it away and that was good for him.

Merry Christmas!

Family Vacation

We had the great opportunity to go on vacation with Clints mom and brother and his family (Todd & Vanessa). We had a wonderful time and wish that vacations didn't go by so fast. We went to the beach, Disneyland, & California Adventure. Here are a few of the pictures:

The boys on the airplane. They had fun flying, but I think Landon's favorite part was the moving walkway at the airport.

Matthew is the kid who eats everything. Here he is after he tried some sand.

Landon has been excited for weeks about driving the cars at Disneyland. After the first ride he cried when it ended and said he wanted to go again. I think we rode it 4 times in a row. Good thing there wasn't a line for this ride.

Landon wasn't quite sure about meeting the characters. His cousins were excited to see them all, and we think he took their lead and jumped in to meet them as well. After he met Whinnie the Pooh, he said: "Mom, why do those mans dress up in costumes." He knew they weren't real, but he would want to see them all by himself. Funny boy. Ariel told Landon he was handsome. By the look on his face it seems he was quite taken with her as well.

Right before we left we went to Downtown Disney to look around. Landon saw the giant lego and wanted a picture taken by it. This is his pose that he came up with. We're not really sure where he got that from, but he sure is a silly kid.
We're already planning our next vacation. Too bad we have to save for it. :)

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from Dash (the Incredibles) and Squirt (Finding Nemo)

We carved pumpkins, and Landon didn't want to touch the pumpkin guts.

But, in the end he and Dad carved a good pumpkin.

Landon likes to be tucked in everywhere when he goes to sleep. He has us put a blanket around his ears so he can't hear. We took both of these pictures in their room with the light off. Funny kid.

He is his Uncle Isaac's nephew. . .

Matthew eating ice cream reminds me of my brother Isaac eating ice cream when he was little. I haven't seen Isaac eat ice cream lately, but I don't think he licks out the bowl anymore.

I better get busy

We are headed to Disneyland next month and if we're going to look like this while we are there I better get sewing.
