Yep thats PURPLE sand

Landon loves playing in the dirt. Everywhere we go he is looking for dirt. We went to the library a few weeks ago and the line was long, so I took the kids outside and Clint got our books. Landon of course found some dirt to play in right by the door. He was having a great time until we wanted to leave. I decided we should have some kind of dirt at our house. Even though we don't have much of a yard. So, off we went to walmart to get a sand box. They only had colored sand. Landon chose purple, probably because he knew it was my favorite color. They also had blue and green. He has LOVED having a sand box. It is small, but that is good so we can bring it in the house. Any chance he gets he wants to play with the sand. Kind of crazy that it is purple, but it makes it so we can see better where to clean it up. :)

Our conversation from the other day.

Landon: "Mom, what are you doing?"

Me: Making muffins, what are you doing?

Landon: "Oh, just eaten brown sugar."

:)
I love that he did not even think that he shouldn't have climbed up on the bar stool to reach the brown sugar. He loves that brown sugar. :)

Everyone who reads our blog probably knows about my upcoming Radioactive Iodine treatments. I was supposed to be in isolation this week. My Doctor says I'm not ready yet. I will have a blood test again in two weeks and then I should be ready.

August

August is almost over, we can't believe it. Matthew is our little smiler. He smiles so easy. He is a great baby, we love having him in our home.

The other day I decided we needed some fun. So, while Matthew was asleep Landon and I made paper sailboats and a little pond to blow the sailboats across. It only took about 3 seconds for the sailboats to turn into really wet paper, so before I knew it, Landon was getting his feet a little wet.

Then, the next thing I know Landon is going "swimming"

So, I decided if he was going swimming he might as well get his swimming suit on. He had a great time and was very sad when I put the "pool" away. I did move it down to the floor as well.

This past weekend we went up to Island park with all my family. I was bad though, I didn't take one picture. I got 2 videos, one of my nephew William singing zip a dee do da, and one of Clint and Landon riding the 4 wheeler. Landon kept saying we were going to the country to see a real moose. It was funny, he really gets into Curious George. We just missed seeing the real moose, but we saw 2 elk. We had a great time up there, it was nice to get away to the country.

Matthew's blessing

Matthew was blessed this Sunday, and we were pleased that a lot of our family came to see. We had a good Sunday. Matthew looked very cute in his blessing outfit. He screamed during the whole blessing, but we could still hear Clint, so that is good.

Brothers

Eve, with her big smile. It is so easy to get her to smile.

Matthew is starting to smile as well.

We got Landon a Curious George for his birthday. He loves to give it hugs and kisses.

Landon made an airplane with my measuring cups.

A bunch of pictures and Landon's Birthday

Matthew is getting chubby cheeks!

We bought some cherries, and this was the first time Landon had tried them. This is what he did while I was on the phone. Yes the stains came out of his clothes with OxyClean.

Matthew got this cute bib from a lady in our ward.

Matthew is getting a double chin as well. :)

Landon got to wear one of his birthday hats right when he woke up. He was so excited it was his birthday. We had a lot of fun.

Here is my attempt at a Curious George cake. It doesn't look exactly like him, but Landon liked it, and I guess that is all that matters.

Matthew had fun at the party too.

Landon was amazed by the candles. He called them fireworks.

We had a great birthday. Grandma Jana came over for the party. Landon got some fun toys and he's been playing with them ever since. It was fun to see him so excited.

Its been awhile

Here is a picture of Landon on the 4th of July. We were at my mom's house, and he was cautiously watching everyone take their turn on the slip n slide. He didn't try it.

Our computer is down, so all the other pictures that we have will have to wait for another day.

We love boys!!

Here are a few pictures with everyone. We are having so much fun with our boys. Landon is a great big brother. He loves to help feed Matthew, and doesn't like to see him cry. We are truly blessed.

Landon got to take a break from the hospital by visiting Grandpa Van's Semi truck. He loved it and had to tell me all about it when he got back.

Our family!

Matthew's here!!

We are really excited, Matthew decided to join us this morning. It's kind of a crazy story. It was a whirlwind of events, but let's just say that we got to the hospital a little after 9 am and he was born at 10:05 am. We felt like we were on an episode of ER or something. At one point Casey asked for an epidural, but the doctor just said, "It's too late for that, we're doing this one Pioneer style." I guess we waited a little too long before going to the hospital. Either way, we decided that once Matthew figured it was time, then there was no stopping him. So, here are some pictures. We have more photos with the whole fam (including Landon), but our camera is being dumb, so we'll get them posted later (Thanks Martha!!)
