Overload of pictures. . .

Can you find our boys? If you look really closely you'll find them behind the large tree trunk in our front yard. HA!

Dressed up and ready for church. I had to make him wear the suspenders for at least one day because he looks so handsome in them.

On the 4th of July we went camping in my moms back yard. Matthew wouldn't get out of the tent, he loved it.

Landon loved roasting marshmallows and eating smores.

Dad & Matthew roasting marshmallows.

We've been on a couple of hikes on the mountain near our house. They boys really like and like my brother Jake would say, "They are good little hikers." They really want to go again because we told them about the trail mix we would get for our next hike.

Landon turned 4 years old! For his birthday we went to a fun zone where we could go mini golfing and to an arcade. It was the boys first time golfing. They want to go back everyday.

Landon wanted a boy castle cake for his birthday. This was the best I could come up with. He liked all the candy on it.

Vampires with neon teeth.

We visited the dinosaur park and had a great time. Landon was a little nervous about the dinosaur noises he heard, and we had to keep reassuring him dinosaurs aren't alive. Matthew thought every dinosaur was Rex and loved it all.

Stylish Matthew

Here is a photo of Matthew in his favorite shorts. But they look like strange pants, you say. It is a swimming suit that is Landon's. Matthew LOVES to wear it. Our neighbors probably think we are really strange when we let him go on walks outside wearing this. But, at least he likes it right?

Matthew's birthday

We can't believe that 2 years ago our Matthew was this little baby. Now he is a big 2!
He was a bit shy at his birthday party. He didn't love all the attention he was getting.

He is my little helper. I made the mistake of letting Landon crack an egg and Matthew was watching so he had to crack one too. He makes sure we know he is a big boy too.
Both boys enjoy helping me with the dishes.
Matthew fell of the couch and hit his lip on a toy. You can't tell very well, but he has a fat lip in this picture.
Tired, smile for the camera.
We went to a local parade and had a lot of fun. Some nice kids by us made sure our boys got some candy so we got a lot.
Landon did not enjoy the firetruck horns and sirens.

Our boys love to have fun! They usually play very well together. Here they are having fun on their semi truck that they convert into a bike. Matthew kept saying "cheese" so his eyes were closed because he was in the middle of saying "cheese"

Matthew is a funny boy. He definitely is his own person. If I had to describe him in one word it would be playful. He loves to play and jump and run and smile. He has recently decided that pants and diapers don't feel very good. He takes them off whenever he gets a chance. Therefore he wears onesies during the day which stops him from taking off the diaper. At night we have to safety pin his jammies closed so that he doesn't take them off. One night last week we forgot the pin. Clint found him in the morning stark naked with a diaper to the side of him, asleep. He slept like that ALL night. Needless to say he was ornery that day probably for his lack of good sleep. Hopefully we don't forget the pin anymore. We have no idea what we will do when it is summer and he doesn't wear jammies that we can safety pin.

Update on us.

At the end of February we went to the free day at the zoo with my good friend Marissa and her family. It was very crowded, and I ended up getting a parking ticket so free day at the zoo actually cost us $30. Next time I think we'll just go on regular zoo day it will be cheaper. :) We did have a great time though!

Landon is about the same size as those apes, and sometimes he acts like one.

Matthew LOVED the zoo. If you ask him to tell someone about the zoo he will go stand by them and jabber about all the animals he saw. We don't really understand him yet, but he sure does talk alot.

Matthew also LOVES to sing. In church he will take the hymn book away from us so he can have one all to himself and he will sing his little heart out. Last week he entertained a lot of us on Grandpa Parker's karaoke machine. I think he might be a singer like his Dad.

Isaac & Taniel (my brother and his awesome wife) knew that we needed a little cheering up lately and sent us a care package. Here is what Landon did with the packaging.

Matthew loves this hat. He wanted to wear it to the store the other day. We talked him into leaving it in the car while we went in the store. What a funny boy.

Matthew also loves his new (hand me down) pjs from Landon. He loves cars.

Valentine's Day and other happenings. . .

On Valentines Day we had pink pancakes. I saw a recipe online that suggested using pureed beets to make pancakes pink. They said you could not tell that the beets were added, so I decided to give it a try knowing my boys would like it. The recipe was right, you could not tell there were beets in them, and Landon & Matthew liked having a special breakfast.

Later that day we decorated sugar cookies. You'll notice that ours are frosted with green frosting. I ran out of red food coloring, and didn't feel like trying beets to color the frosting. So, we used green. Matthew enjoyed the frosting. I don't think he did anything except eat frosting.

Landon decorated his cookie like any 3 year old would by putting on as many candy hearts as he could.

Clint surprised us all with fruit and chocolate dipping. It was very delicious.

Landon recently started primary. He got some scriptures and picked out some fabric for me to make him a scripture bag. He is the cutest little sunbeam and enjoys going each week after the initial scare that he doesn't want to go he does fine. We had some hand me downs that I just recently went through and found a suit coat in size 4. Landon insisted he wear it to church. It was big, but he sure looked handsome.

One time when my sister Michelle was little she decided to put on all the clothes that she owned at once. I was telling Landon about this and he decided he was going to do that too. He got 3 shirts and a jacket and then gave up.

Matthew likes Landon's underwear. It has all his favorite characters on it from Buzz Lightyear, Lightning McQueen, and Mr. Incredible. When I do laundry Matthew finds the underwear and puts it on. He then runs around the house being a super hero. It is pretty funny to see. Landon decided to join him this day. Funny boys.

Here is Landon holding his newest cousin Ella. On the way out of the hospital from seeing her he declared it was his favorite thing to hold her and that "In fact, I want to go up there again right now." (Can't really see Ella's face in this picture. oops)

What can we say Matthew likes superheros already. He will also wear this cape and run very fast around the house for hours.

December

Finally here are some of our pictures from Christmas. Matthew read books with Grandma Proctor for a long time. He read other books besides the Princess one, but this happens to be the one I got a picture of. :)

We had the kids dress up for the nativity scene and reading of Luke 2. Landon decided he would be baby Jesus before anyone really could tell him who to be. He acted the part well and acted like a content baby. Sorry to Katie who actually is a baby, next year I will make sure I tell him he should be a shepherd or wiseman.

On Christmas Eve all the kids got Christmas PJs. Here are Matthew, Cameron, Jadyn, Bridger, Carlie, and Matthew.

We visited the Christmas village after Christmas this year. It was WAY less crowded, but it was still very cold.

The boys have loved playing in the snow. You can always tell if they had a good time if their cheeks are bright red when they come in. Landon might just enjoy the hot chocolate just as much as the playing in the snow.

We also made a gingerbread house (thanks Vanessa). We had fun and as soon as we were done Landon wanted to eat it. I didn't get a good picture, but Landon immediately took a bite out of Santa.

On Christmas Landon told me was "really enjoying the day." When we delivered plates of cookies to a few people he would say "Merry Christmas to all and to all a Goodnight." After Christmas Landon wanted to write a thank you note to Santa. His note said "Dear Santa, Thanks and Your welcome." I guess he is saying your welcome for the cookies, or maybe for being good. We really had a great Christmas, and Landon is already planning for next Christmas.
